The Surgical Department at SKGH provides 24 hours cover for A&E, performing major emergency surgical procedures round the clock, including management of patients with acute abdomen and polytrauma, as well as emergency laparoscopic procedures.
In routine, the Surgical Department performs minor & major elective general surgical procedures ranging from: Gastrointestinal surgery including hepatobiliary, colorectal & anal surgery, Head and Neck surgery including Thyroid & Parotid, open hernia surgery, and breast surgery. All operations are performed in fully equipped state of the art modern operating theatres.
Outpatient services for new & follow up patients are available daily. Minor operations under Local Anesthesia for excision of small swellings performed in the outpatient Minor Procedure Room.
Day care surgery to shorten the patient’s stay in the hospital.
