Comprehensive management of Diabetes during Pregnancy.
The dietary department runs a multi professional programme to support patients with diabetes during pregnancy.
The programme consists of unique group sessions to provide education to patients on:
- Nutritional needs in pregnancy and carb counting
- Exercise
- SMBG (Self-monitoring of blood glucose)
- Lactation needs
- Complications of uncontrolled sugars during pregnancy
