The hospital’s Laboratory with its reference laboratories provides a broad spectrum of tests covering a myriad of illnesses, and disease, ranging from the simplest to the most complex. More than 1000 tests, panels and profiles are offered for the screening, diagnosis and monitoring of disease states.
The pathology department offers consultative services with regard to hematopathology, infection control, Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance, as well as a full spectrum of general laboratory services.
The department covers the followings:
- Clinical Hematology.
- Clinical Microbiology.
- Clinical Microscopy.
- Transfusion services.
- Clinical chemistry, Serology, and immunology.
- Phlebotomy service.
The department following a strict internal and external quality program. We are participating in the College of American Pathologists (CAP) proficiency testing as Quality external program. The laboratory is both CAP and ISO 15189 accredited.
